 |
UVMVenturesSM, an initiative of the UVM Office of Technology Transfer, presents a newly integrated approach to research innovation, development, and commercialization.
UVMVentures assists in maximizing effective use of the University’s intellectual and financial resources to advance the practical application and commercialization of research and innovation. It provides a one-stop, full-services venue for faculty, staff, and students to obtain information, advice, and extensive services designed to commercialize technology and innovations that have their genesis at UVM.
To accelerate the development research necessary to increase the successful licensing of UVM inventions, UVMVentures is launching the UVMVentures Grants Programs.
Two grant programs, the Pre-Seed Capital Fund and the Innovations Fund, will accelerate the number of innovations and ready their transferability to commercial products and services by providing hard-to-get funds for early-stage development. These Funds will increase the potential for investment by traditional venture capital funds and enhance prospects for the success of start-ups and licensing.
